One for the Bucket List: ZEISS Announces Pronghorn Dream Hunt Contest

NORTH CHESTERFIELD, VA – Carl Zeiss Sports Optics, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium, high performance sports optics, is launching an online contest for serious hunters to win a chance for themselves and a hunting partner to scratch one off the bucket list — a three-day pronghorn antelope dream hunt in Wyoming.

ZEISS, in partnership with Rough Country Outfitters and Friends of NRA, are offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for two hunters, 21 years or older, who are legal residents of the United States or Canada, to experience an all-expenses paid, guided pronghorn antelope dream hunt in September 2015. Hunters can enter by visiting the Carl Zeiss Hunting US Facebook page (click here). The opportunity to enter begins December 10, 2014 and closes January 9, 2015.

To enter the contest, nominate a hunting partner with whom you would most want to share a ZEISS dream hunt experience. Submit a photo of your friend with a brief, written description of why your hunting partner would be the perfect match for the ZEISS Pronghorn Dream Hunt. Hunters can nominate a friend, a family member, a co-worker, a neighbor, or a member of a hunting club or organization – but it must be the one hunter that they would most want to go head first into an adventure in rough and wild country of eastern Wyoming in search of trophy pronghorn.

“For many hunters, a trophy pronghorn dream hunt is one for the bucket list, and we want hunters to name the person with whom they would most want to share this once-in-a-lifetime moment,” said Michael A. Jensen, President of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics. “At ZEISS, we believe in maximizing every moment of a quality and ethical hunt. And that’s how we’ll select the winner – we’re looking for the perfect team who are ready to savor the joy of a quality trophy pronghorn hunt.”

The winning entry will be awarded a three-day hunting trip guided by Rough Country Outfitters, an outfitting and guide service that is fully licensed, insured, authorized and permitted to operate on Wyoming’s Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests, BLM lands, State lands, and leased Private lands. The winner, along his or her hunting partner, will receive round-trip airfare, licenses, lodging, shoulder mounts, and game meat processing. In addition, each hunter will receive a ZEISS riflescope and binocular to ensure that both will be fully equipped when the pronghorn of their dreams steps into range. Details of the dream hunt will be shared with the ZEISS community through the company’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

First, second, and third-place runners-up will win a choice of ZEISS VICTORY HT riflescope or binocular, ZEISS CONQUEST HD riflescope or binocular, and ZEISS TERRA riflescope or binocular, respectively. Five winners in total will be chosen. No purchase is necessary to enter.

The winning entry will be announced during SHOT Show, the largest and most comprehensive trade show in the United States for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries.

Entrants must meet the terms and conditions as set forth in the contest rules. Contest void where prohibited by law.
