At the recently held U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) International Sniper Competition, several teams competed with the new Nightforce 5-25x and 4-16x F1 riflescopes. The first place team from USASOC utilized the new MIL-SPEC 5-25×56 F1, while the second place team from 10th Special Forces Group had MIL-SPEC 4-16×42 F1s on their rifles. Other teams also utilized a mix of new and legacy MIL-SPEC products to compete with at the grueling event.

The USASOC International Sniper Competition, held at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center, hosted twenty-four teams to a stringent series of 19 different day and night events to determine the best in their craft. Each team had a sniper and spotter working together to complete the real-world based events designed by instructors of the Special Forces Sniper Course. Teams engaged targets from 25 meters to 1,000 meters under various time and unknown circumstance constraints.

“We are excited that our new F1, first focal plane, products are proving themselves in the field and within the Special Operations community. These riflescopes were designed with direct end-user requirements and feedback, and pair very nicely with current and emerging military sniper systems,” said Tod Litt, Business Development Manager for Nightforce MIL-GOV-LE. “To have the first and second place teams use our optics is just icing on the cake.”

Nightforce Optics offers a family of MIL-SPEC products designed for the stringent requirements of military applications and use. New for 2015 is a pair of F1 products, to include a 5-25×56 and 4-16×42. Both riflescopes have outstanding optics, a rich mechanical feature-set and a diverse reticle selection to help accomplish any mission.
