The Value of a Professional Guide: Priceless

By Glen Wunderlich

When a hunter or fisherman considers the related costs of an outdoor adventure in a remote area far from home, it may behoove him not to cut corners.  As with the effort to establish a food plot, for example, skipping an expensive application of fertilizer can render the entire effort a failure.  Similarly, the adventure of a lifetime can also turn into a learning session that can only be useful on a future trip.  Read more

This from the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance…

It seems that the most dangerous and well-funded group within the animal rights lobby, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is again trying to reposition itself to seem mainstream. That transformation is a new “Faith Outreach” effort. Yes, HSUS is attempting to align itself with religions. This path closely follows the animal rights group’s programs that have thrust its tentacles into school systems and young student minds around the nation. Churches should definitely beware. Gun-Free Zones may not be Safe for Criminals Anymore

By Glen Wunderlich

Good intentions of ideologues have given us Gun-Free Zones (GFZs).  Unfortunately, their unintended consequences have given us mass murders.  We all know the history:  Luby’s Cafeteria in Texas, post offices, schools, an unarmed army base, and even a country such as Norway all have fought reality with gun-control laws and have demonstrated the folly of extreme, liberal thinking.  The next tragedy is most likely brewing in some demented soul’s brain and calling 911 won’t prevent the inevitable.  Neither will any GFZ.  And, Texas Congressman and GOP presidential hopeful, Ron Paul, is tired of waiting for more proof that weapons of mass imagination have failed and has proposed a bill that would allow teachers to become armed.
