More Window Dressing for Chicago
Chicago has big trouble with violence, yet has the most stringent gun control laws in the nation. The answer: more gun control. Its Public Health Committee of the state Senate quickly approved bills that would ban the sale of semi-automatic firearms and high-capacity magazines during the lame-duck session, but it seems to be going nowhere. We all know, however, that the results of the bill will go nowhere in preventing its citizens from perpetrating evil. Much like the failed war on drugs, there cannot be control without addressing demand. And, in this case the “demand” is that crime pays.
Gun Grabber Politician Busted at Airport with Gun
So, he’s not the first person to attempt to board an airplane with a handgun. But, this “do-as-I-say” state senator from Chicago, Donne Trotter, has strongly opposed concealed carry legislation. So, he’s not the first two-faced politician, either. At least he stated to authorities that the gun was legally registered in Chicago. Oh, yeah. He’s not the first liar in politics, either.
