This allows the shooter to make adjustments to their sight picture without ever having to lift and move the weapon or take their hand off the grip. To ensure that the shooter does not over-compensate any rotational or tilting action, the Recon 360 has two tension adjustment screws that allow the user to personalize the flexibility of the Recon 360 movement based on shooting needs and preferences. The Recon 360 comes with a cantilevered base that places the bulk of the bipod offset and away from its actual Picatinny mounting location. This clever design saves valuable space on tactical rail systems and allows the bipod to sit in the least obtrusive location when not deployed.
The fluted leg design helps reduce weight and gives this bipod a unique character unlike any other in the industry. The legs themselves can be snapped into 5 positions with the push of a button, and positive retention is guaranteed via deep slots that have been equally spaced and toleranced along the swivel disk. The Recon 360 stands tall at 10.2″ when fully extended, providing ample clearance for an AR with a Mil-Spec 30 round magazine inserted; whereas at its shortest leg setting of 7.4” the height is perfect for use on a bolt action rifle. The legs can be locked in place at one of the 5 extension notches, or anywhere in-between notches via a thumb locking wheel. In addition, the bipod comes standard with UTG’s own sling swivel mounting adaptor, making the entire unit ready for action on almost any firearm platform without the need for additional connectors or parts.
