Known for their innovative design and technology, the team from Lightforce Australia is back once again with a light that is set to shake things up.
The Australian designed and made DL230 HTX is the ultimate hybrid of HID and LED technology, providing the instant flood of LED combined with the unmatched long-distance of HID, eliminating the need for additional spotlights and bars beyond one set of HTX.
The DL230 HTX features a 70w-HID fast start bulb in the center of a 170mm reflector, which works to provide the long distance component of the product. The reflector is surrounded by 20 LEDs in a circular pattern, which provide a wide spread that is equivalent to that produced by a standard 20″ LED light bar.
The DL230 HTX produces an impressive beam pattern with a distance of 1767m @ 1 LUX for a pair of lights. A single set of DL230 HTX can provide the combined distance and spread of a standard set of round lights plus a light bar in a single package.
The 230mm sized HTX is ideal for larger 4WD operations and long distance trucking applications where light quality, throw and beam cannot be compromised.
The Lightforce team identified the gap in the market for a hybrid style product that successfully merged HID and LED technology. Mark Zussino, Senior Engineering and Operations Manager explains; “no other light achieves what the DL230 HTX does – it is truly one of a kind”. The HID and LED components of the DL230 HTX are independently switchable – users can choose to operate the HID or LED options or use them simultaneously for maximum output.
DL230 HTX features a genuine Gore® waterproof membrane combined with an IP69k rating to protect against moisture and contaminant ingress. Like all lights within the Lightforce range, the DL230 HTX is built to withstand the toughest and most extreme conditions on the planet.
