Burris Debuts XTR III Rifle Scope and Accessories

GREELEY, Colo. – Designed and manufactured in Greeley, Colorado, Burris announces the new Xtreme Tactical (XTR) III line of riflescopes featuring new reticle designs and enhanced field-of-view. Inspired by tactical and competition shooting, precision and reliability are at the core of the XTR III line of optics.

Available in a 3.3-18x50mm and 5.5-28x56mm, both models are built with a 34mm body tube for increased strength and extended adjustment range. Elevation adjustments up to 120 MOA on the 3.3-18X50mm take the 6.5 Creedmoor past one mile and expanded side parallax adjustment on both models allows fine-tuning focus at shorter distances.

Premium glass and optical improvements, including a smaller eyepiece signature and larger eye box, provide best-in-class field-of-view, deeper depth of focus and outstanding light transmission. Four front focal plane reticle designs and matching reticle and knob units allow shooters a variety of options. The new Special Competition Reticle (SCR) 2 MIL reticle features a gridded “Christmas tree” design, allowing extremely fast and accurate windage and elevation compensation and clear communication with spotters. SCR Mil and SCR MOA reticles are also available.

Aggressive Dragon Scale knurling and larger diameter knobs provide a sure tactile surface for making quick adjustments in all weather conditions even while wearing gloves. A locking diopter ring avoids accidental changes in diopter focus during rugged use.

Burris’s M.A.D knob windage system is shipped with the scope, giving shooters the options of tactical exposed knobs, short capped or mixed. An optional race dial was designed specifically around the needs of PRS and NRL shooter with a smooth powder coat finish and .75-inch surface height to fit Scotch brand clear tape perfect for making custom notes in the field.

New for 2020, the XTR III now has two optional race dials to choose from including both MOA and MIL versions. Shooters can quickly adjust magnification to a custom set level by adding a throw lever designed specifically to lock down on the XTR III focus ring.
