Henry Repeating Arms Serial No. 1 Collection Raises $23,526 for Gun Owners of America

A GunBroker auction including serial number 1 of all three models in Henry Repeating Arms’ America’s 250th Anniversary Tribute Edition collection closed Sunday, September 20 with a winning bid of $23,526, all of which Henry is donating to Gun Owners Foundation to fund the legal work of Gun Owners of America.
Henry donated the set through its charitable program, Guns For Great Causes, and served as the seller of record on the auction. The company retains none of the proceeds.
Bidding opened at $3,999 on September 6 and climbed over two weeks to its $23,526 close, more than five times the opening bid. The lot included all three rifles plus 5,400 rounds of commemorative ammunition donated by Federal Premium Ammunition.
Henry Repeating Arms is one of the leading firearm manufacturers in the United States and a world leader in the lever-action category. The company builds every firearm it sells at facilities in Rice Lake and Ladysmith, Wisconsin, where it employs more than 600 people across 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Its commitment to American manufacturing is the reason the collection exists. The lever-action rifle is an American invention, patented by Benjamin Tyler Henry in 1860 as the first practical repeating rifle and the country’s signature contribution to firearms design. Henry built the America’s 250th Anniversary Tribute Edition collection to mark the nation’s 250th year and chose to give the first examples ever produced to help defend the right that stands behind them.
There are three lever-action rifles in the collection: a full-sized and a youth-sized .22, and a .45-70 Gov’t. All three share a waving American flag applied in full-color Cerakote, Fancy-grade American walnut, and a 250-anniversary logo engraved and silver-filled into the buttstock. A matched set had never been offered before at any price.
“We built these rifles because of a right that people keep having to defend in court, so we gave serial number 1 of all three to help with the fight,” said Anthony Imperato, Founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms. “Our customers took it from there with this auction and carried it past our expectations. The set is going to go a good home, every dollar is going where it counts, and that is exactly what we hoped for.”
“Henry has long understood that supporting the Second Amendment means standing alongside the organizations and gun owners fighting to preserve it,” said Erich Pratt, Senior Vice President of Gun Owners of America. “We’re incredibly grateful for their generosity and proud to work with a company that shares our commitment to defending the freedoms that have defined our nation for 250 years. Partnerships like this between the firearms industry and the grassroots Second Amendment community make our movement stronger and help us continue our no compromise fight to protect and restore the rights of gun owners across the country.”
Gun Owners Foundation is the nonprofit that funds and litigates the court cases brought alongside Gun Owners of America, a grassroots organization representing more than two million members and activists. In August 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled in a case brought by the organization that key National Firearms Act registration requirements are unconstitutional as applied to items Congress recently reduced to a $0 tax.
The auction is the latest project of Guns For Great Causes, Henry’s charitable program, which has supported families of sick children, children’s hospitals, military veteran organizations, law enforcement and first responder groups, Second Amendment advocacy organizations, and wildlife conservation efforts. Guns For Great Causes has donated more than $4 million to date.
