NSSF Matches ATF Reward in Michigan Assault and Firearms Theft

NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the March 18 assault on a federally licensed firearms retailer and the theft of firearms from his store, Guns and Stuff, in Sage Township, Gladwin County, Michigan.

This potential reward matches a $5,000 reward offer by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
According to ATF and the Gladwin County Sheriff Department, the store owner was “savagely attacked and is in critical condition” and several firearms were stolen from him. ATF and the Gladwin County Sheriff Department are investigating the theft and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the identification of those responsible.
The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crimes.
