Animal Rights Group Vandalizes Restaurant and More

The animal rights group known as the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) recently made headlines after admitting to vandalizing a southern California Taco restaurant by gluing locks shut and spraying red paint on the businesses wooden patio to represent animal blood.

Employees of Costa Mesa’s Taco Asylum arrived at work on July 28, 2013 to find signs of vandalism across the establishment. Door locks were glued closed, red spray paint covered the entrance door, and the words “Free the Animals” was spray painted on the wooden patio of the restaurant.

In a statement released by ALF on a website called Bite Back Magazine, the group states that the group slipped onto Taco Asylum property “under the cover of darkness.” During that time, ALF members spray painted the business with red paint to represent “the blood of countless rabbits, ducks, pigs, chickens and cows that they murder every year.”

ALF is a loose knit, international association of animal rights activists commonly known for their acts of vandalism, and at times, violence to show their support for animal rights.  They are regarded as a domestic terrorist organization by the FBI.

Always on USSA’s radar, the ALF poses a threat to not only hunters but all citizens. In late July, ALF announced they had not only sabotaged a San Diego Fur Shop and also the owner’s and manager’s homes.

These acts of vandalism and violence on not only businesses, but also the homes of citizens should not be condoned. The USSA strongly urges all hunters, anglers, and trappers to pay close attention to this group and report any illegal activity immediately.
