Youth Shooting Receives Over $426,000 From The Potterfields

Columbia, MO – The youth shooting industry continues to grow and that is in large part due to the generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield. Their latest contribution of over $426,000, given in September alone, will go to the MidwayUSA Foundation where it will directly benefit youth shooting organizations.

This matching donation by the Potterfields is a direct reflection of the great support the shooting industry receives across the nation.
“This is our way of helping to change the future of shooting sports,” explained Larry Potterfield. “Competitive shooting teams provide wonderful opportunities for students to make friends, develop confidence and learn discipline and leadership skills. However, most schools provide little or no funding for shooting teams, so it’s up to us to help.”
The MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc. and its Scholastic Shooting Trust (SST) is a 501(c)(3) organization established by MidwayUSA founders Larry and Brenda Potterfield. Teams with active accounts in the SST can submit a grant request for up to 5% of their total fund balance once per year for team expenses such as ammunition, uniforms, range fees, travel costs and more.
