New Breed Archery LYCAN: For The Hardcore Bowhunter

Fultondale, Ala.—Hunters looking for a bow that is short in stature yet long on performance is a common scene in the archery world. After all, treestands and ground blinds don’t always lend themselves to ultra-long setups. As a consequence, the trend in short axle-to-axle bows remains popular. However, bowhunters looking for a short, maneuverable bow still want one that packs a punch while remaining quiet, easy to draw and forgiving. For them, we proudly introduce the New Breed Archery LYCAN. Read more

Ultimate Versatility with New Breed Archery’s ECLIPSE

Fultondale, Ala.–Although costly, it isn’t uncommon for shooters to own two bows, one for bowhunting and the other for the 3D or target range. And while each bow may perform in their respective area, neither can do it all. That is of course unless one of them happens to be the New Breed Archery ECLIPSE. In short, it was designed specifically to “do it all”.

For starters, with an IBO velocity up to 335 fps, the ECLIPSE carries enough speed to make errors in range estimation less costly whether on the line or in the field. But, unlike some bows, that speed doesn’t come with a reduction in shooter friendly qualities. In fact, the Eclipse is anything but challenging to shoot. Read more

Muzzy Alcatraz Fishing Point

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (May 14, 2015) — Muzzy, the leader in bowfishing equipment, has announced the introduction of the new Alcatraz 3-barb fishing point. Designed for maximum hold in retrieving soft-flesh fish, the new Alcatraz is smaller and lighter than most traditional barbed fishing points, offering better penetration and arrow flight.

The new Alcatraz 3-barb fishing point is comprised entirely of stainless steel, and with its three barbs, it offers great holding power. In flight and during penetration, each barb extends just 9/32-inch beyond the ferrule, but each expands for 2 1/2 inches of holding power during retrieval. With a quarter-twist of the needle-sharp tip, the 0.050-inch-thick barbs reverse for easy removal without the need to fully loosen or remove the tip. This new point from Muzzy offers maximum holding power and an extremely quick release to get you back to shooting faster. Read more

Rage Introduces New Rage Krossbow KORE ™

Rage Revolutionizes Crossbow Broadhead Technology with the New Rage Krossbow KORE ™

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (May 5, 2015) — As crossbow popularity continues to grow, Rage continues to push the envelope in broadhead development. The introduction of the new Rage Krossbow KORE—featuring the same ground-breaking and game-taking Rage 3-Blade Broadhead with KORE Technology—sets Rage apart from other companies in its technology and its commitment to this market.

Razor-sharp blades on the new Krossbow Kore instantly open upon contact and produce cuts in six directions with a 1.6-inch star-like cutting diameter, resulting in a hole that exceeds three inches in total cutting area.

Rage engineers recognized that separating and orienting the blades away from the center of the ferrule would prevent any possibility of binding against one another. They created a unique skeletal design with a precision-ground solid-steel ferrule that utilized the patented and proven Slip-Cam™ blade deployment system. The revolutionary design of new Krossbow KORE’s unique skeletonized ferrule eliminates any potential for binding, making them legal wherever mechanical broadheads can be shot. Read more

Bow and Gear Hoist

DANVILLE, Ala. (May 4, 2015) – With the introduction of the new Bow and Gear Hoist, HSS has addressed the issue of how to safely, silently and quickly get a bow or other gear into a treestand. The Bow and Gear Hoist is lightweight, easy-to-use and virtually tangle free, as there are no ropes or cords to contend with.

Weighing in at only 3.17 ounces, the new Bow and Gear Hoist measures just 3.75 X 3.2 inches, and is small enough to store in a back pocket. It features a 2-inch carabiner with a rubber coating on the large end to deaden sound, and a swivel attachment allows bows or gear to spin freely to prevent binding of the ribbon.

To use, simply attach your bow to the Bow and Gear Hoist’s carabiner, use the clip on the back to attach it to your belt—or place it in a secure pocket—and begin your climb. The ribbon will unwind, practically unnoticed during your accent. Once in the treestand, use the ribbon to raise your bow hand-over-hand. Then, just wind the ribbon back into its sturdy polymer case. To lower your bow, simply clip it to the carabiner again and lower it to the ground allowing the ribbon to slowly slide through your fingers. If no rocks or hard surfaces are present below, the HSS Bow and Gear Hoist can then be dropped to the ground. Read more

Deep Six Full Metal Jacket Arrows: More Kinetic Power From Your Hunting Bow

Full Metal Jacket and Ultra-Micro Injexion carbon arrows are both field-proven on big game for hunters seeking more penetration for bow hunting. In its latest product advancement, Easton has combined these two arrow shaft concepts into one arrow—the Deep Six FMJ. The Deep Six FMJ arrow combines a full metal jacket over an ultra-micro diameter carbon core that results in the most advanced arrow ever available to bowhunters. Deep Six FMJ arrows pull more potential energy from the bow and increase penetration by focusing their mass into a smaller diameter and reduced surface area. This results in less friction during flight for higher speed and more kinetic energy downrange. The ultra-micro diameter also penetrates with less friction for more pass-through impacts to take down game quickly and assuring recovery.
