With 41 states allowing suppressor usage for hunting, their popularity with predator, deer, and big game hunters has grown significantly. And Mossberg delivers a suppressor-ready platform with their Patriot Carbine bolt-action rifle series. Key features include threaded barrels; compact barrel lengths of 16.25, 18, and 20-inches; a wide range of chamberings from 22-250 Rem to 7mm PRC; and durable black synthetic stock with complementing matte blue metal finish.

Mossberg’s Patriot rifles are built on a proven twin-lug push-feed machined-steel action that is fed from a flush polymer magazine. The free-floating, carbon steel barrel features an 11-degree match crown, is threaded, and includes a protective thread cap. For ease of adding optics, the Patriot Carbine is equipped with a receiver mounted Picatinny rail. And like all Patriot rifles, the Patriot Carbine has Mossberg’s patented LBA™ (Lightning Bolt Action™) user-adjustable trigger with a 2 to 7-pound range of adjustment for consistent shot placement. Mossberg has added a 590M Standoff pump action to its line of 590 magazine-fed firearms. This 12-gauge, 2.75-inch pump action features a 14.25-inch heavy-walled, standoff barrel and is fed from the first production shotgun double-stack magazine. This well-designed platform provides better balance and weight distribution combined with greater capacity in less magazine length than competitor’s single-stack magazines. And the 590M offers added versatility with the convenience of 5, 10, 15, 20-round accessory magazines.

The innovative design of Mossberg’s 590M Mag-Fed platform starts with the detachable magazine’s integral stabilizing ribs which engage the magazine directly to notches engineered into the receiver for a positive lock-up. WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, released the final figures for NSSF-adjusted FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) verifications for December 2024 and the 2024-year-end totals. December’s totals topped 1.6 million background checks for the sale of a firearm at retail. That brought the 2024 annual total to over 15.2 million background checks for the sale of firearms at retail.

The December 2024 NSSF-adjusted NICS figure of 1,642,270 is a decrease of 7.5 percent compared to December 2023 NSSF-adjusted NICS figure of 1,775,834.
