ACCOKEEK, Md. – Introduced in 2020, the Uberti 1885 Courteney stalking rifle harkens back to the dangerous times at the turn of the century where hunters and explorers roamed wild lands in search of big game and adventure. Originally available in .303 British only, Uberti USA continues to honor this tradition by offering this rifle in the popular .45-70 Government chambering.

The 1885 Courteney Stalking Rifle carries the name of famed hunter, explorer and conservationist F. Courteney Selous. Selous spent his life pursuing and collecting African game, becoming not only one of the most legendary “Great White Hunters” but also a scout, explorer and guide who opened many trails of the uncharted continent.

Just like its .303 British brother, the Courteney Stalking Rifle in .45-70 boasts classic British lines along with a case-hardened receiver, trigger and a rock-solid 1885 falling-block lever action. The AA-Satin Prince of Wales stock with a classic rubber butt-pad complements an African heartwood tipped forend to create a distinctive look that resonates from the time of Selous’ forays into the wild. The blued barrel sports a barrel band, a hooded front sight and a quarter-rib base with a fully adjustable V rear sight. The base is machined to accept Weaver-style scope rings, and a sleek quarter-rib with no provision for scope mounting is also available as an accessory to those preferring to hunt with open sights only. And weighing in at a mere 7.1 pounds, the rifle features sling attachment points on the barrel band and buttstock to make this rifle easy and comfortable to carry all day. Read more

Rogers, AR, JANUARY 21, 2021 – GAMO Adult Precision Air Rifles revolutionized the breakbarrel air rifle industry back in 2017 with the introduction of Swarm 10X Technology. This technology created the first multi-shot, autoloading breakbarrel air rifle, and made single shot air rifles obsolete. Swarm shooters simply loaded 10 pellets into the magazine, snapped it into place and could shoot 10 shots without fumbling around for another pellet after every shot – just break the barrel and shoot again.

The second generation of Swarm 10X Technology debuted last year, and for 2021, the extremely popular Bone Collector series moves into Gen 2 technology. Bone Collector air rifles, endorsed by Michael Waddell and Travis T-Bone Turner, are Gamo’s top-performing small-game hunting airguns. It features a handsome, high-grade beechwood stock and the Bone Collector logo. Read more

ACCOKEEK, MD – Introduced last year, the Franchi Momentum Elite rifle family continues to grow with the introduction of three new chamberings and a new hunting camo pattern. New calibers include .300 Win. Mag., 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) and .350 Legend for state hunting regulations calling for straight-walled hunting cartridges. The newest camo pattern available is Sitka OPTIFADE Elevation II complimented by the Cobalt Cerakote barrel, reciever and bolt handle.

The Momentum Elite rifle stock, patterned after the original Momentum’s revolutionary design combines raised curves and crisp checkering at strategic places along the rifle. This delivers an enhanced ergonomic feel and positive hold in the five most commonly used shooting positions. Sling-attachment points are recessed on the stock, eliminating the need for intrusive swivel studs. At the butt, Franchi’s popular TSA recoil pad absorbs up to 50 percent of the rifle’s felt recoil with integrated contours to offer more comfortable benchrest shooting positions. Read more

Hickory, North Carolina – January 20, 2021 – WOOX has broken new ground with the introduction of the new Furiosa Micarta rifle chassis.

The Furiosa rifle chassis were introduce in 2020 and quickly gained a reputation for accuracy, reliability, and classic design. Now in 2021, WOOX is introducing the first rifle chassis of its kind, combining aircraft grade aluminum and micarta.

Micarta is widely regarded as one of the toughest materials made. During the production process, sheets of material are impregnated with colored dyes and phenolic resin. These sheets are then stacked together to achieve the desired thickness and bonded into a single sheet under tremendous pressure and heat. This process then produces a material that is impervious to cracking or warping. It also produces unique ergonomics with improved grip and never feels cold to the touch. Weather resistant, the WOOX Furiosa Micarta chassis cast off moisture, as well as most oils and solvents. An additional benefit is the exceptional vibrational harmonic dampening properties of the chassis material, which further assists accuracy. Read more

NEW HAVEN, Mo. – ALPS OutdoorZ, premiere manufacturer of extreme-duty hunting packs and gear, has developed a solution for waterfowl hunters to keep their shotguns dry and protected in the most austere climates and hunting conditions. The new Waterproof Gun Case was designed to keep shotguns clean, undamaged, and in peak operation when carried to and from waterfowl hunting blinds.

The Waterproof Gun Case is based on a rugged 500D welded PVC outer shell that is resistant to the typical punctures, abrasions, and environmental harshness typically encountered when waterfowl hunting. The interior shell is comprised of a high-density, closed-cell flotation foam, with additional protection offered by a padded liner. Sealing the gun case from water intrusion is a buckled roll-top similar to those used for expedition-grade dry bags. Read more

ACCOKEEK, Md. – The Franchi Instinct SLX sits atop the popular Instinct SL line as the deluxe version for shooters who enjoy beautiful styling as much as performance and superior ergonomics. The heirloom-quality shotgun is now available in 28-gauge and follows the Franchi tradition of producing fast, reliable and smooth-swinging guns for hunters and sporting shooters.

These striking over/under shotguns boast features usually seen on expensive, high-end shotguns such as a cut-out locking lever, artistically engraved receiver with gold inlays, gold trigger and handsomely checkered AA-grade walnut Prince of Wales stock and Schnabel forend. The glossed-blue barrels are tipped with a red fiber-optic sight and extended choke tubes to complete the overall aesthetic.

Now available in a 28-gauge offering, the shotgun performs as well as it looks. The intuitive design provides a comfortable, instinctive feel to quickly get on target.
