Bergara Teams Up With Realtree and NRA for Custom Gun Giveaway

Bergara Custom Rifles has teamed up with Realtree and the NRA to give away one of their Sport Hunter custom rifles. The rifle is finished in Realtree’s Max 1 camo pattern, and both Realtree and NRA are assisting Bergara in promoting the contest through social media.

The gun was built by Bergara’s lead gun builder, retired Marine Corp Master Sergeant Dan Hanus. Prior to joining Bergara, the 22 year veteran was stationed at Quantico, Virginia, where he served as the Production Chief & Chief Instructor for the Marine Corps Precision Weapons Section. NRA Ad Campaign Exposes the Real Michael Bloomberg

Michael Bloomberg is not having the success in burying the NRA that he expected when he announced his $50 million campaign against the Second Amendment and the formation of his gun control umbrella group, Everytown for Gun Safety.

As we reported last week, his investment in Milwaukee to defeat pro-gun Sheriff David Clarke failed in spite of the huge infusion of cash Bloomberg provided to promote Clarke’s anti-gun opponent. This defeat, on top of the recall of Colorado state senators last year, shows the inherent weakness of Bloomberg’s operation: it has no real grassroots support, just money and bluster.

To make things worse for the former mayor, NRA has launched a national effort aimed at exposing Michael Bloomberg’s anti-freedom agenda. The “Meet the Real Michael Bloomberg” advertising campaign kicked off this week with a television advertisement titled “Insult.”  “Insult” is the first in a series of ads that will highlight Bloomberg’s hypocrisy, arrogance and desire to control the lives of ordinary Americans.

Rock Island Armory Now Shipping .22 TCM Rifles to the US

The company plans to continue serving the American market with a recurring supply of 300 additional rifles every month for the foreseeable future. Remington Announces Layoffs in New York

According to reports from WKTV-TV, Remington Arms has told its unions there will be 105 jobs lost at the nation’s oldest gun manufacturing facility in Ilion, New York. In May, Remington announced it would be relocating 80 jobs from the Ilion facility to Huntsville, Alabama. The jobs were relocated, but the employees were not. We’re following the story and will update you as news develops.

Clinton-Appointed Judge Upholds Maryland’s “Assault Weapon” and “Large” Magazine Bans in Ultra-Biased Opinion

This week’s ruling by the judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland reminds us why it is important to elect U.S. senators who will reject an anti-gun president’s anti-gun nominees to the federal courts, and to elect presidents who will not nominate anti-gunners in the first place.

On Tuesday, August 12, Judge Catherine C. Blake, appointed to the court by President Bill Clinton, upheld Maryland’s “assault weapon” and “large” magazine ban in the case of Kolbe v. O’Malley. Read more
