American Silencer Association meets with ATF and Congress

Washington, DC – On June 20 and 21, the American Silencer Association (ASA) met with the National Firearms Act Branch of the ATF, and the offices of one Senator and three Congressmen. American Silencer Association Calls for Bill O’Reilly Retraction

Washington, DC – The American Silencer Association (ASA) asks that Bill O’Reilly immediately retract the factual inaccuracies of current firearm regulations that he used as supporting evidence during his July 24 debate with Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT). The debate, which focused on the validity of additional gun control measures in response to the tragic events in Aurora, CO, found O’Reilly calling for stricter oversight of the firearms transfer process. While the ASA does not take issue with O’Reilly’s personal opinions, the consistent use of unsubstantiated evidence is inexcusable and in need of retraction. Read more

MUCC Says Court Ruling Attacks Shooting Range Rights

LANSING, MI — Michigan citizens have the statutory right to operate a shooting range without fear of nuisance lawsuits. That right was granted under protections established in 1989 with the passage of the Sport Shooting Ranges Act. But a Michigan Court of Appeals ruling attempts to deny those rights to Michigan’s citizens. Michael Moore Talks Gun Control

Michael Moore doesn’t want to stay in this country unless more gun control is instituted.  What he fails to realize (or, at least address) is the notion that gun control – specifically, gun-free zones – causes these mass shootings, along with perverted minds.  In any case, below is his call for more gun laws and restrictions.

Michigan Conservation group to host Fall Tune-Up Shoot in Fenton

The Keith Davis Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society will hold its 8th annual Fall Tune-Up Shoot at the Fenton Lake Sportsmen’s Club, 1140 Butcher Road, Fenton, MI on Saturday, August 25, 2012 beginning with registration at 9 a.m. (Shoot starts at 9:30 a.m.).
According to Brad DePottey, registration for the 50 target sporting clays shoot is $30 for adults and $25 for youngster’s age12-16. Registration fee includes lunch and award for Adult High Gun. Walk-in’s are welcome.
