The Dead Animal Recovery Team, or D.A.R.T., will provide alternative sentencing options for non-violent offenders by having them pick up dead animals from roads in Ingham County, Michigan, if judges choose to impose such sentences. More here…

MISSOULA, Mont. -A Rocky Mountain goat taken by a hunter in 2011 in British Columbia is the largest of its species ever recorded, according to the Boone and Crockett Club.
Club officials Wednesday confirmed the goat, a male that scored 57-4/8 Boone and Crockett points, as a new World’s Record.

Ithaca, New York–On Earth Day this past Sunday, two Red-tailed Hawk eggs began to hatch in a nest 70 feet above the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, New York. Thousands of viewers from around the world watched a live camera feed from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology online, waiting for the first glimpse of the chicks.
Then darkness fell, and snow began to fall.
