Surplus Michigan-managed land in Lake County goes up for sale

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is preparing 114 state-managed public properties for sale by live auction Friday, Aug. 19, in Baldwin, Michigan. These surplus properties are in Cherry Valley, Eden, Peacock, Pleasant Plains, Sweetwater and Webber townships (Lake County).

The auction will begin at noon at the Amvets Post 1988, 1959 W. 24th St. in Baldwin.

On-site registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. the day of the auction. Interested bidders may preregister and get more information on the live auction at www.tax-sale.info.

Properties for sale range in size from under an acre to 40 acres. They are located within 15 miles of Baldwin, with most of the parcels being located in Cherry Valley, Peacock, Pleasant Plains and Webber townships.
