Bushnell Outdoors Introduces Portable Power Product Designed for Off-the-Grid Adventure

Overland Park, Kan. – Bushnell Outdoors, an industry-leader in outdoor product innovation, has introduced a unique portable power product line that includes both solar and battery devices. PowerSync, featuring nine lightweight, rugged and portable products, provides power on demand via a simple plug-and-play USB port.
Whether it’s a weekend in the woods or the backcountry hunt of a lifetime, the fact of the matter is more and more hunters are taking portable electronics into the outdoors. And inevitably, at some point during each adventure, those devices will need a charge. From recharging a smart phone to powering up a satellite phone in the backcountry, PowerSync was developed to power those off-the-grid adventures.
With a sixty-five-year history developing products for outdoor adventure, durability is at the forefront of design in the five new PowerSync solar products. Each product is housed in a durable, rubber-armored case that’s built to protect the solar panel and onboard high-capacity lithium-ion battery.
Understanding performance is everything, Bushnell outfitted the PowerSync solar line with advanced amorphous silicon thin film solar technology that performs in less than full sunlight and collects energy more efficiently than the crystalline products on the market. Inherently more durable and portable than rigid crystalline panels, PowerSync features a rollable or foldable design that provides more solar surface area at less weight. Redundant wiring throughout the solar panel allows each cell to collect energy independently, meaning a damaged cell won’t diminish the overall performance.
The PowerSync solar line includes three highly capable solar products: SolarBook, SolarWrap and SolarWrap Mini. Available in two configurations (models 850 and 600), SolarBook is the ultimate portable charging system. Featuring the largest solar collection capacity and dual lithium-ion batteries, SolarBook packs some serious power in a tablet-sized, 24-ounce package. SolarWrap, available with an extended and standard length solar panel (models 400 and 250), offers impressive solar capability in a rollable design that stows in a compact cylindrical case and weighs less than 11 ounces.

The ultimate in portability, thanks to an ultra-compact design and a total product weight of just over three ounces, SolarWrap Mini can be easily deployed on a pack for on-the-go solar collection.
The PowerSync battery line includes four products, with three featuring high-capacity lithium ion batteries and one including four rechargeable AA batteries. Power Charger, the workhorse in the line, has two USB ports and a convenient field light for nighttime use. Available with a dual battery and two USB outputs or a single battery and one USB output, Battery Bar is a lightweight, easy to stow backup battery option. With its four rechargeable AA batteries, the AA Battery Charger can recharge devices via USB or the batteries can be removed to replace dead batteries.
With nine products in the line, there is a PowerSync solution for every adventure. The five solar products have suggested retail prices that range from $59.99 – $299.99, and the four battery products range in price from $54.99 – $99.99. Designed for the modern outdoorsman, Bushnell Outdoors is a new collection of rugged and durable gear built to withstand the rigors of the trail, off-trail or wherever camp is pitched.
