TerraLUX® Colorado Delivers 500 lumens from AA Batteries

LONGMONT, Colo. – TerraLUX®, a leader in LED light technology, has raised the bar for light output and runtime from the AA alkaline battery with the introduction of the new Colorado flashlight.   Using common, easy-to-find AA batteries, the Colorado offers outdoors enthusiasts 500 ANSI-rated lumens for 90 minutes, performance normally reserved for CR123A-powered lights. TerraLUX’s cutting edge circuitry maximizes the life and lumens of the CREE XM-L LED.
Four lighting modes allow the user to select the amount of light that’s just right for the task at hand. A programmable memory returns the Colorado to the user selected power output the first time, every time.
The high-impact polymer body holds 4 AA cells in two stacks of two. Molded in grip panels and an ergonomically efficient shape make the Colorado easy to hold for any length of time, even when hands are wet or muddy.
A recessed tail switch allows for natural instinctive activation, but prevents accidental activations. Impact tested to a full meter, the durable Colorado is IPX7 waterproof for 30 minutes at a one meter depth.
Compatible with TerraLUX’s red, green, blue and white lens filters, the Colorado also has a low-battery indicator, so you’ll never get caught with a weakened light.
Lumens and runtime
Max power – 500 lumens for 1.5 hours High power – 250 lumens for 3.6 hours Medium power – 60 lumens for 18 hours Low power – 3 lumens for 150 hours
