IWI Launches the UZI PRO Pistol at Milipol, Paris

The UZI PRO, one of the most popular weapons in the world, operationally proven, with millions of units sold around the globe, is now available in a Semi Auto pistol configuration ideal for law enforcement, security, and Special Forces units. The UZI PRO Pistol delivers all the benefits of the UZI PRO Sub-Machine Gun: lightweight, compact, accurate and reliable. A longer barrel enables increased effectiveness as well as additional available ammunition. Among its many features are Picatinny rails – and the option of either concealed or openly carried use.
In addition to the UZI PRO Pistol, IWI also showcases its JERICHO Pistol with a new feature –  a round chamber indicator, which enables a higher level of operational use including safety  fixtures. The popular JERICHO Pistol delivers exceptional performance and reliability. Available in standard, short, and compact models, with either steel or polymer frames, and in 3 calibers – 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP – it offers an ergonomic grooved grip, integral lower Picatinny rail for mounting accessories, and single or double action. The JERICHO is the standard pistol of the Israeli Police and police as well as elite security units around the world.
IWI is also launching the TAVOR family in FLATTOP Flat Dark Earth configuration for desert combat and missions. The TAVOR SAR Flattop Series includes a full-length Mil-Std Picatinny top rail in addition to the standard short rail – mounted at a 45° angle opposite the charging handle. It is available with a 16½” barrel with an overall length of 26 1/8″or an 18″ barrel with an OAL of 27 5/8″.
According to Uri Amit, CEO of IWI, “We are very pleased to showcase the newest member of the UZI family – possibly the best-known and most widely sold weapon family in the world. Our goal was to translate the advantages and reliability of the UZI PRO SMG into a configuration that could be used by law enforcement and Special Forces for a variety of missions. This goal has been fully realized with the UZI PRO Pistol. In addition, we have expanded the operational capabilities of the JERICHO Pistol with a new feature – the round chamber indicator. I am certain that both will be used operationally by forces around the world.”
