“Amazing America with Sarah Palin” Announces Co-Hosts

Popular co-host Jerry Carroll returns for Season Two, joined by Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner

NEW BERLIN, WI – Sportsman Channel’s Amazing America with Sarah Palin, produced by Pilgrim Studios, has announced its two co-hosts for the second season of the network original series premiering on January 15, 2015 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Jerry Carroll, returning host from the first season, will be joined by Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner in the field. The announcement was made today by Marc Fein, executive vice president of programming and production for Sportsman Channel.

Carroll, a stand-up comedian, speaker and farmer based in Raleigh, North Carolina, returns for his second season as a field host of Amazing America. Carroll’s infectious attitude and “down home, familiar style” was a big hit with viewers last season.

Conner, an actress and model, was Miss USA 2006. During the last several years, the Russell Springs, Kentucky native has been seen on MTV, CMT, Lifetime’s Project Runway and has modeled for Body Glove. “Growing up in Kentucky, I grew to appreciate and love the outdoors,” said Conner. “I would tag along with my dad and uncles when they would go fishing, and those memories are some of my favorites. I may live in Los Angeles now, but I’m still a Kentucky girl at heart.”

The second season of Amazing America with Sarah Palin will include 12 episodes featuring more exciting and inspiring stories about outdoor enthusiasts/personalities, businesses, organizations and more. Craig Piligian, Jake Shelton and Brett Boydstun are executive producers for Pilgrim Studios.

Palin, the original “Mama Grizzly” and “First Lady of the Outdoors,” took viewers across the United States into what Sportsman Channel calls “Red, Wild and Blue America.” The show helped propel the network to triple-digit, year-over-year growth in households and key male demographics during its first season run.

“Having Jerry return for the second season is great,” said Palin. “His personal connection with the people he met was evident in every episode he was in.”

“We’re also thrilled to welcome Tara to the team. She is a great addition to the show,” continued Palin. “Her personal story could be an episode on the show and we’re so happy she will be with us to help tell the inspiring stories of other Americans.”

Palin has been a dynamic figure in the media since her run in 2008 as Senator John McCain’s vice presidential running mate. She is a three-time New York Times best-selling author (Going Rogue, America By Heart and Good Tidings and Great Joy), has generated almost 100 million Google hits and has more than 5.5 million organic and engaged social media followers. Time Magazine also has named her as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” twice (2009, 2010). Governor Palin has been married to four-time Iron Dog champion Todd Palin for 26 years. They reside in Wasilla, Alaska, and have five children and two grandchildren.
