Meopta Introduces New MeoStar 12×50 HD and 15×56 HD Binoculars

HAUPPAUGE, NY, January 5, 2015 – Meopta, the industry’s leading designer and manufacturer of premium sports optics, is pleased to add two new high-performance binoculars to its MeoStar® line – the MeoStar 12×50 HD and MeoStar 15×56 HD.

These rugged binoculars are engineered to withstand the most extreme hunting conditions and are especially well suited for western hunters. Vast terrain requires exceptional glass, not only to spot animals at long ranges but also to assess their finest details. The new MeoStar HD binoculars deliver to the max thanks to the large HD fluoride objective lenses which eliminate chromatic aberration and provide spectacular image clarity and true, vivid color reproduction. The MeoBrightTM ion-assisted lens coating delivers 99.7% light transmission per lens surface providing exceptionally bright images in the most challenging lighting conditions. This gives hunters the advantage of seeing better, both earlier and later.

“We are seeing increasing demand from hunters, especially those in the western part of the United States, for higher magnification optics of the finest European quality,” said Reinhard Seipp, general manager and chief operating officer of Meopta USA. “With the new MeoStar 12×50 HD and 15×56 HD binoculars, we are delivering the magnification, quality and performance these serious hunters are seeking for hundreds of dollars less than optics of similar quality. Hunters also have the advantage of using a MeoPix adapter in conjunction with the binoculars which allows them to capture extremely detailed images using the camera zoom feature of their iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. They can then evaluate important detail to determine if the animal is one they wish to pursue. This has been popular combination with both guides and hunters, and Meopta will continue to deliver new designs and technologies to meet their needs at attractive price points.”

The new MeoStar HD binoculars feature a sleek, ergonomically designed aluminum alloy body with rugged armoring to protect the optics while also providing a comfortable feel. Thumb rests make it easy to hold while glassing for extended periods, and the over-sized focus wheel is fast and easy to operate with or without gloves. Multi-stop, twist-up eyecups accommodate all users, and the eyecups are removable to make cleaning quick and easy. Like all Meopta optics, the MeoStar 12×50 HD and 15×56 HD binoculars are nitrogen purged, waterproof and fogproof and are backed by Meopta’s Lifetime Transferrable Warranty.
