The MTU037SSK Keymod Compatible Free Float Rail System, the first 17″ length rail to be offered by UTG PRO. Apart from the obvious extended length ideal for 18″ and 20″ barreled rifle builds, the main features stay true to the original design: a seamless rail to receiver fit, octagonal super slim profile, ergonomic finger grooves, scalloped Picatinny slots for easily mounting accessories, and overall lightweight rail design. The integral anti-rotation tabs guarantee accurate alignment with the upper receiver while preventing the rail from rotating under heavy use. Precision machined from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum and equipped with UTG’s proprietary easy-to-install barrel nut system, newcomers and owners of previous versions alike will appreciate the streamlined, yet robust simplicity of this rail system that despite its increased length, only weighs a mere 13.5 oz.
There are of course many benefits to having a 17″ long rail system, such as having an increased sight radius, better ergonomics for modern shooting stances, and increased mounting space. For mounting purposes the MTU037SSK is extremely versatile being equipped with a 42 slot top Picatinny rail and 126 total Keymod compatible slots across 7 slot tracks. A proprietary barrel nut wrench and additional installation tools and hardware are included within the package along with two Keymod compatible rail sections, one 4 and one 8 slot, both featuring UTG PRO’s continuous rail edge design. Install them side by side to form one continuous uninterrupted rail. The UTG PRO 17″ Keymod compatible rail system is ready for competition, and the competition has just become a little fiercer.
