QDMA’s New Website Is Designed to Serve and Inform Deer Hunters
ATHENS, GA (August 16, 2016) – QDMA is pleased to invite deer hunters to visit its newly relaunched website, QDMA.com, which now allows the organization to more efficiently interact with, educate and support its members, volunteers, and all deer hunters.”Whether you need help predicting buck behaviors during the rut, a ticket to your local QDMA banquet, food plot information, or you just want to renew your membership, you’ll find the new site easy to use even on your smartphone,” said QDMA Director of Communications Lindsay Thomas Jr.
Produced in partnership with Blackbaud Inc. of Charleston, S.C., a supplier of software specifically designed for nonprofit organizations, the new QDMA.com is mobile responsive and easy to navigate. Visitors will quickly find QDMA’s educational guidance on deer hunting and management by browsing content categories or using the internal search engine. The fact-checked, science-based information is also easy to share with other hunters in the neighborhood, in the QDM Cooperative, or in social networks.
“Blackbaud’s team also reconfigured our business management software to communicate efficiently with the new website, and this will have many advantages for QDMA members, volunteers and customers,” said John Eastman, QDMA’s Senior Director of Operations. “We’ll be able to fulfill memberships, support volunteers, and respond to the needs of members much faster than before. This will ultimately mean more effective and efficient pursuit of the QDMA mission.”
The new site also features a more intuitive calendar system for finding upcoming QDMA Branch events ranging from field days to hunts and banquets, as well as QDMA news organized by state so a visitor can review what’s been accomplished in their local area. A modernized online shopping interface makes it simple to purchase memberships, QDMA apparel or educational materials, and there’s a direct link to securing hunting land liability insurance. A private Branch Portal for QDMA volunteer leaders supplies important forms, documents and media necessary to manage and promote QDMA’s grassroots operations. Soon, visitors will be able to purchase tickets for local QDMA events online, and members will be able to renew or update their own account information.
“QDMA blends the art of hunting with the science of management to create better deer and better deer hunting,” said Eastman. “Our new site reflects this, as it blends great hunting content with a cutting-edge operational platform that will take QDMA’s mission to the next level.”
