NEWINGTON, N.H. – The SIG SAUER® Electro-Optics Division is pleased to announce the expansion of the popular ROMEO5 red dot sight to include the new ROMEO5X® and ROMEO5XDR®.The ROMEO5 is a compact, lightweight, closed red dot sight for use with modern sporting rifles, carbines, shotguns and air rifles. The ROMEO5 features a crisp, bright 2 MOA Dot. The ROMEO5X adds a AAA battery for extended (X) runtime, while the ROMEO5XDR picks up both the AAA battery and a Dual Reticle (DR) with a user selectable 2 MOA Dot or 65 MOA Circle Dot for rapid target acquisition in any situation.

The ROMEO5X/XDR combines leading edge optical design with an extremely robust, lightweight aluminum housing for years of worry-free service at a competitive price. These red dots feature high performance coatings for excellent light transmittance and extended runtime.
Like many of the Electro-Optics products in the SIG lineup, the ROMEO5 product line features MOTAC™ (Motion Activated Illumination), which allows the sight to power up when it senses motion and power down when it does not. This technology greatly enhances battery life. The ROMEO5X/XDR run off a single AAA battery for up to 50,000 hours of runtime under normal use.
