Trijicon® Unveils RMR® Type 2 – Newly Optimized for Handgun and all Extreme Usage Platforms
Wixom, MI – Trijicon’s RMR (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) is highly regarded for its ability to provide fast, both-eyes-open target acquisition, accurate aiming, and proven reliability on numerous platforms including slide mounted pistol applications. New for 2017, Trijicon, the industry leader in miniature reflex optics, has set a new standard with the introduction of the RMR Type 2.
The RMR Type 2 deploys new electronics that bolster durability in the harshest environments and extend the functionality of the product. For those RMR’s that require batteries, the new electronics design and battery contacts increase reliability under the harshest use and stiffest recoil. A Button Lock Out Mode prevents accidental adjustments to your preferred brightness. Battery Conservation Mode adjusts the aiming dot to ambient lighting conditions after 16.5 hours without a button push to further extend battery life. The Trijicon RMR Type 2 provides a bright illuminated aiming point for instant target acquisition under any condition. Best of all, the RMR Type 2 is parallax-free, meaning simple “point and shoot” operation with superior accuracy at longer ranges.

The extremely compact and lightweight RMR, only 1.2oz, is designed to withstand the rigors of hard use under the most severe environmental conditions.
The CR2032 lithium battery lasts up to two years in the LED version, and up to four years in the Adjustable LED model at mid-setting. Audible windage and elevation adjustments allow for quick and easy zeroing with no need for any special tools or devices. The New RMR Type 2 is compatible with all existing RMR mounts and optics-ready pistols.
The RMR is available in three models–the Adjustable LED, Dual-Illuminated (battery-free) and LED with aiming dot sizes ranging from 1.0 MOA to 13 MOA for a multitude of applications. The Dual-illuminated (battery-free) RMR’s remain unchanged by this product update.
