Take Turkey Hunting Up a Notch with the NEW TenPoint Viper S400™ Oracle X.
Mogadore, OH. TenPoint Crossbow Technologies recently launched the NEW Viper S400 Oracle X. Featuring the Burris® Oracle X™ Rangefinding Crossbow Scope and the revolutionary ACUslide™ cocking and de-cocking system, the Viper S400 delivers speeds up to 400 feet-per-second and is one of TenPoint’s shortest forward draw crossbows at just 32-inches long.
“We are excited to team with Burris and their storied past of range finding optics to bring the market a more affordable range finding crossbow option,” said Rick Bednar, TenPoint CEO. “At 400 feet-per-second and safe de-cocking, the Viper S400 has been one of our most highly rated crossbows ever, and the addition of the Oracle X™ takes it to a new level of performance.”
The lightweight and robust Burris® Oracle X™ Rangefinding Crossbow Scope features a built-in laser rangefinder that is activated via the wireless remote or the range button on the scope. With the push of a single button, the Oracle X™ instantly ranges game up to 200-yards away and reflective targets up to 500-yards away.
Forget the days of “gap shooting” with multiple aim points and reticle patterns – the 2x-7x Oracle X™ displays the distance to your target and provides an exact aiming point factoring in the angle of your shot – leading to greater accuracy and more ethical shots.
The ACUslide features the company’s groundbreaking Auto-Brake Gear System, which allows for silent cocking and safe and controlled de-cocking of the crossbow. The Auto-Brake Gear System eliminates the potential of losing control which can lead to injury or costly bow damage during the cocking or de-cocking process. While cocking and de-cocking with the ACUslide, the user can remove their hand from the handle at any point, with no other action required – and the handle will stop in place. The crank handle reduces cocking effort to 5-pounds and stores securely into the butt-stock.
Fueled by RX6-Cams™, the forward draw bow assembly is the difference maker for one of TenPoint’s shortest traditional crossbows. The innovative cam system rotates 340-degrees to produce speeds up to 400 feet-per-second. The assembly’s revolutionary Vector-Quad™ cable system technology utilizes four cables instead of the traditional two which eliminates cam lean and generates straight-nock travel leading to same hole down-range accuracy.
The Viper S400 Oracle X features the company’s S1 trigger. This 2-stage, zero-creep design features an advanced roller-sear system that delivers a consistent crisp, 3.5-pound pull. The trigger is equipped with a DFI™ (Dry-Fire-Inhibitor) and is fitted with a nylon-filament arrow retention brush that improves arrow grip and alignment to reduce noise and vibration. An integrated string stop system is also included to further reduce noise and vibration.
The crossbow has an ultra-short 17-inch MICRO-TRAC™ fluted aluminum barrel which reduces the flight deck surface by an incredible 50%. The minimal string-to-barrel contact increases accuracy and provides the longest string life in the industry.
The barrel is fastened to the ultra-light, two-piece TEC-X™ stock that features multiple weight reducing cutouts, as well as a hollow pocket that houses the ACUslide cocking and de-cocking system. The stock provides the shooter with ideal length-of-pull and combines with the RangeMaster Pro Scope to yield perfect eye-level alignment.
Fully assembled, the crossbow measures only 32-inches (w/o stirrup) long and 7.2-inches wide and shoots up to 400 feet-per-second.
Decorated in Veil Alpine™, the Viper S400 ships completely assembled and includes a Ready-To-Hunt package.
