(Accokeek, MD) – Stoeger Industries, manufacturer of performance-grade shotguns, personal defense handguns, and airguns, adds four new models to its STR-9 pistol line. The STR-9 is the base platform for all Stoeger STR-9 series handguns, ranging from the STR-9F Full-Size to the new STR-9MC Micro-Compact.
For 2023, Stoeger introduces four new optic-ready versions of the STR-9 9mm. Two models—#31782 and 31783—come in 15+1 and 10+1 capacity, respectively, and both include an optic-cut slide with a matte black nitride-hardened finish with quick-read 3-dot sights. Two additional STR-9 models—31784 and 31785—offer the same 15+1 and 10+1 capacities and optic-ready slide but include tritium sights for operation in low-level lighting conditions.
All four STR-9 handguns come with two magazines and three interchangeable backstraps. The backstraps can be easily swapped to provide a custom fit.
The STR-9 is a proven platform for defense-minded shooters. The ergonomic polymer frame with its finger grooved grip, strategically placed stippling patches, and serrated backstrap provide exceptional grip and hand placement for optimal muzzle control. The magazine release button is reversible to accommodate right- or left-hand shooters, and a loaded chamber indicator atop the slide lets you know when a round is in the chamber, eliminating the need for awkward press checks.
