Imported exclusively by the Italian Firearms Group (IFG), the Iside 702 is manufactured by Fabbrica Armi Isodoro Rizzini or F.A.I.R. in a state-of-the-art production facility in Marcheno, located in Italy’s Lombardy Region. Established in 1971, F.A.I.R. specializes in building hunting and competition shotguns, as well as rifles designed for big and dangerous game.
This beautiful side-by-side shotgun is built around a sturdy, high luster receiver finished in a blue-black hardened color case. It also sports gold inlay scrollwork. The F.A.I.R. logo is engraved on the bottom of the receiver.
The shotgun features F.A.I.R.’s own forcing cone system, the recoil-reducing X-CONES®, and the bore is chrome lined.
Iside 702 barrels are constructed from rugged tri-alloyed steel, and are available in 26-, 28- and 30-inch configurations. The barrel’s top rib is slightly concave, with an anti-glare matte finish and bright brass bead front sight. The Iside 702 is supplied with five (5) Technichoke Hunting XP50 chokes (C, IC, M, IM, F) and a choke key. Chokes can be easily switched out in the field as shooting conditions change.
The Iside 702’s rock-solid locking system is an oversized cross locking bolt on double lugs. Coil springs and hammer with a double safety notch and a fret-worked top lever complete the system. This high-quality side-by-side comes standard with a double trigger but is also available with an optional single selective trigger. An automatic safety is located on the shotgun’s tang.
Last but in no way least, the Iside 702’s wood stock and forend are nothing less than exceptional. The stock is made of classic European walnut in a very ergonomic hunting design, finished to a high gloss and complimented with 25 lines-per-inch laser-checkering. The forend is splinter-style European walnut of superior quality.
