Michigan’s Second Amendment March will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at Michigan’s Capitol. The march will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a sidewalk procession from the corner of Michigan and Pennsylvania to the Capitol. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. people will meet with their state representatives. Musical entertainment and pro-gun speakers will take the stage from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. From 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. people will meet with their state senators. The Michigan Legislature is in session that day. We’ll be showing them the political strength of Michigan’s legal gun owners. The march is being organized by Skip Coryell’s Second Amendment March and jointly promoted and funded by the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners, Michigan Open Carry, Michigan Gun Owners and Michigan Students for Concealed Carry.  Click the image below for details:

TSA to Allow Small Knives Onboard Aircraft

Transportation Safety Administration administrator John Pistole says that, effective April 25, the TSA will lift its ban on small knives in passenger cabins. Allowable knives will be limited to “retractable blades shorter than 6 centimeters (2.4 inches) and narrower than 1/2 inch at the widest point. Box cutters and razor blades, however, will still be banned. Allowing these small knives on board will align the United States with ICAO and European standards and allow screeners to focus on the highest priority threat, non-metallic explosive devices. Keychain sized knives like the Victorinox “Classic” Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman “Squirt” or “Style” multi-tools are allowed.

Tom Gresham Gives NRA a Big Boost

Mandeville, LA – In less than two months, radio and TV host Tom Gresham delivered 16,630 new Lifetime Members to the National Rifle Association, amounting to more than $4.9 million dollars in membership dues. Gresham announced a special $300 Lifetime Membership deal with the NRA on Thursday, January 10th, via Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/Guntalk, complete with a special direct phone number. Obama Justice Department Reveals Truth About State of the Union Claims

Despite long odds, on Tuesday night, Barack Obama managed to turn in a State of the Union performance that was filled with more theatrical pandering than the event is typically known for.  Once again seeking to capitalize off tragedy by opting for emotional, rather than reasoned arguments, the President reiterated his support for increased background checks and bans on common semi-automatic firearms and their magazines, which he referred to as “weapons of war and massive ammunition magazines.”
As usual, Obama’s remarks were short on evidence that his gun control proposals would work.  Of course, that evidence is sorely lacking–and who would know that better than the experts at his own Justice Department? Read more

Bushnell Outdoor Products Contributes $145,000 to Folds of Honor Foundation

Overland Park, Kan. – Bushnell Outdoor Products, an industry leader in sports optics and outdoor accessories for 65 years, has announced its 2012 contribution to Folds of Honor Foundation will total $145,000. Since establishing a partnership in 2010, the optics leader has contributed more than $450,000 to Folds of Honor, supporting the spouses and children of disabled or fallen soldiers. Read more

Gun Free Zones Option

“It’s reasonable to wonder, are people choosing gun-free zones to go carry out these massacres because they know they won’t be stopped?”state speaker Jase Bolger asked. “I don’t think it’s a coincidence that such monsters that are carrying these out are going to gun-free zones to do their massacre.”  The  “Michigan School Protection Act” may allow teachers to carry concealed pistols in schools.  Details here…
