Springfield Armory Announces Launch of Aimpoint COA-Equipped Pistols

Springfield Armory® is proud to announce the launch of its new Aimpoint® COA®-equipped line of pistols. Select firearms arrive factory-milled with the Aimpoint A-CUT™ interface and are fitted with the class-leading Aimpoint COA closed-emitter red dot sight. Paired with the 9mm Echelon at launch, the line will later expand to include select 1911 DS Prodigy™ and 1911 variants.

The Aimpoint® COA® A-CUT integrates directly into the slides of these Springfield Armory pistols via a full-length dovetail secured by a front hook and rear wedge. The wedge-locking mechanism transfers lateral forces into the dovetail, reducing the load on screws and mounting interfaces, delivering high durability and reliable zero retention under demanding conditions. The ultra-low mount enables co-witnessing with iron sights for instinctive target acquisition.

Featuring a 7075-T6 aluminum housing, the closed-emitter Aimpoint COA optic is designed for military, law enforcement, concealed carry and sport shooters alike. Its 3.5 MOA dot is rated to run for more than five years on the included single CR2032 battery. The optic features four night vision-compatible settings and eight daylight settings, and is submersible to 25 meters. The lens measures a generous 15x15mm, and the optic’s weight is a mere 1.7 oz.

The Echelon COA variants available at launch are the 4.5F, 4.0FC and 4.0C models. The 4.5F is a full-size model with a 4.5″ barrel that comes with a flush-fitting 17-round magazine and an extended 20-round magazine. The 4.0FC is a hybrid model with a proprietary full-size grip module and a compact slide assembly with a 4″ barrel. It comes with a 17-round, flush-fitting magazine as well as a spare extended 20-round magazine. The 4.0C is a compact model with a 4″ barrel and 15-round, flush-fitting magazine as well as an extended 18-round magazine. Read more

Henry Repeating Arms Donates 50 Custom Rifles for Wildland Firefighter’s Leukemia Battle

Henry Repeating Arms, one of the country’s leading firearms manufacturers, is donating a limited-edition series “Joel’s Wildfire” Golden Boy Silver rifles as part of its Guns For Great Causes program to help wildland firefighter Joel Eisiminger cover the mounting medical expenses associated with his fight against acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a diagnosis he received one day before his 25th birthday.

Eisiminger, originally from Southern Oregon, spent six seasons battling wildfires across the American West. In July 2024, while deployed on a wildfire in Northern California, Joel suddenly became seriously ill and was soon diagnosed with the aggressive form of blood cancer that requires extensive treatment.

His story, published in The New York Times, also helped shine a light on the lack of protection available to wildland firefighters. In response, lawmakers introduced the Healthy Lungs for Heroes Act (S.3183) in November 2025 to reverse a decades-long rule banning the use of respirators.

Henry Repeating Arms expects the sale of the 50-rifle series to generate more than $40,000 to support Joel’s treatment and ongoing care. Read more

FK BRNO at Italian Firearms Group: European Engineering Built for Long-Range Pistol Performance

If you haven’t handled an FK BRNO yet, the first thing you notice is that it doesn’t feel like a variant or derivative of something else. That’s because it isn’t: FK BRNO designs purpose-built pistols around their proprietary 7.5 FK cartridge system, an approach intended to push pistol performance farther downrange while keeping recoil and control manager.

FK BRNO is based in Brno in the Southern Moravia region of the Czech Republic. The city has a longstanding reputation for serious firearms craftsmanship. Their modern lineup carries that tradition forward with a distinctly engineering-forward mindset: tight tolerances, robust materials, and a focus on repeatable performance.

FK BRNO PSD Pistol in 7.5 FK

The flagship for many shooters is the FK BRNO PSD Pistol, a single-action, tilting-barrel pistol built around the 7.5 FK system. It’s designed to deliver rifle-like ballistics from a handgun platform, aided by FK’s proprietary recoil-attenuating system to keep the gun controllable and consistent shot-to-shot. The PSD platform is also known for its flexibility: it can be configured to run additional calibers with alternative barrels, giving owners a way to train or tailor the setup to different needs without leaving the FK ecosystem.

FK BRNO Field Pistol in 7.5 FK

If the PSD is the versatile do-it-all platform, the FK BRNO Field Pistol leans hard into precision and long-range capability. It’s an original design and is built on a system that can handle high-pressure performance while remaining ergonomic in the hand. The Field Pistol is positioned for long-range competition use, silhouette shooting, and hunting applications where accuracy and stability matter. Read more
