Steelhead Outdoors Adds Rustic Nomad 38 Modular Firearm Safe

Shakopee, MN (January 27, 2023) A custom finish offered on Steelhead Outdoors modular gun safes has become so popular it’s become part of the line. The Rustic Nomad 38 features the Rocky Mountain Rust finish highlighting the authentic beauty of natural age, patina and rust.

Based on consumer demand, Steelhead Outdoors set out to create an authentic rusty finish for their modular gun safes. In order to create a natural oxidation, the raw steel panels are cleaned to remove oils and contaminants, then acid washed to create the same oxidation that naturally occurs from years in the elements. The acid process simply accelerates the process. After the panels are oxidized, they are run through a neutralization process consisting of a multi-stage wash, pretreatment and an application of matte clear powder coating. This creates an authentic rusty finish with an outer layer of protection to slow the formation of any additional oxidation and to create a smooth contact surface on the entire safe. Shadow Systems CR920P: Subcompact Pistol with Integrated Compensator

Las Vegas, NV – Shadow Systems, the Texas-based pistol maker, has announced the release of their CR920P, a 9mm subcompact pistol with an integrated compensator. The built-in patent pending compensator does not make use of a threaded barrel, which makes it compliant in jurisdictions that have threaded-barrel bans; instead it uses a self-locking, self-indexing novel method of attachment.

The goal of the CR920P design is to create the most effective use of space in the attachment of the compensator, allowing the CR920P to fit into a G48 holster. With this design, Shadow Systems has eliminated the use of conventional threaded barrel. Instead, Shadow Systems developed a proprietary 3-lug muzzle that works in combination with a centrally located locking lever in the body of the comp. This allows a self-indexing and self-locking attachment method within a very confined use of space, thus creating a compensated subcompact with 13+1 capacity that fits within a G48 holster. The applications of the engineering of this attachment method may give potential for similar attachment of other muzzle devices, such as suppressors, with a compact design and strength that is unmatched in other quick detach methods. Kansas City, KS – New for the US market in 2023, CZ USA introduces two optics-ready and suppressor-ready P-10 pistols to its lineup. The full-sized P-10 F OR SR and compact P-10 C OR SR models inherit all the performance-driven features of the P-10 series.

Like all P-10 series pistols, CZ engineered the P-10 OR SR models for reliability, outstanding accuracy, extended service life, and shooting comfort. The barrel and fiberglass-reinforced frame and slide feature an incredibly durable finish, protecting them from mechanical damage and the elements.

Both pistols feature a modified slide for attaching a red dot sight and an extended barrel with 1/2“×28 threads for mounting a suppressor.
