Krieghoff Gun of the Year 2022 – “Naresuan the Great”

Travel back to the Kingdom of Ayutthaya, as Thailand was once known, and witness King Naresuan’s legendary duel with the Burmese crown prince, Mingyi Swa in great detail on the receiver’s left side. The Battle of the Satong River fills the opposite side of the receiver, showing King Naresuan routing the enemy troops with his legendary shot, thereby gaining Ayutthaya’s independence.

King Naresuan, nicknamed “the Great” for his success and popularity, pours out holy water on the receiver bottom, symbolically declaring the independence of Ayutthaya from Burma. The top latch features a familiar Thai symbol.

Engraver Creative Art meticulously captures each famous event in intricate detail, always highlighting “the Great” adorned in his majestic robes in fine gold detailing. Creative Art addresses every figure in great detail, engraving each in lifelike relief. Thai style ornamentation frames this one-of-a-kind work of art, providing the perfect finishing touch.

Valued at $145,000.00, “Naresuan the Great” sold shortly after its unveiling at the IWA Outdoor Classics international trade show happening now in Nuremberg, Germany.

SIG Says Enough, Sues Lawyer

After months of quietly discounting lawsuits filed by police officers alleging their P320 pistols have experienced “un-commanded discharges” SIG SAUER has apparently had enough. Yesterday, the Epping, New Hampshire company filed a federal lawsuit against attorney Jeffrey S. Bagnell and his law firm (Jeffrey S. Bagnell, Esq. LLC) alleging, among other things, that Bagnell and his firm have made “false and defamatory statements” regarding SIG’s P320 pistol.

Specifically, the suit alleges that Bagnell and his firm “published a plainly false and inaccurate animation of the SIG P320 in an effort to induce a belief in consumers that the P320 is unsafe, and to attract new clients for the Bagnell law firm.” The suit further alleges Bagnell’s animation includes “false depictions of key internal components” that are then used to support “false assertions about the mechanics of the firearm that are physically impossible.”

FPC Statement on Biden Supreme Court Nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson

Following President Biden’s announcement today nominating Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court, the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) released the following statement:

As we’ve said before, the justices of the Supreme Court should, and indeed must, do what the Constitution’s text and liberty compel. One need not look further than the current Russian invasion of Ukraine to fully comprehend that the human right to keep and bear arms is as relevant and necessary today as ever.

Judge Jackson, who served for a time as an assistant public defender, should have first-hand experience of just how evil and corrupt the criminal justice system is, using coercive plea bargaining to avoid constitutionally required jury trials and putting people in cages for non-violent possessory offenses such as merely possessing common semi-automatic firearms or carrying a handgun without a license in New York, California, and other states where governments are openly hostile to the Second Amendment rights of peaceable individuals. For maximum protection and performance, nothing beats a custom-fit product like WildEar EarzON® Custom Hearing Protection. Henry Repeating Arms Donates 55 Rifles for 4-Year Old Girl’s Kidney Cancer Treatments

RICE LAKE, WI — Feb. 25, 2022 – Leading lever action firearm manufacturer, Henry Repeating Arms, is donating a custom series of 55 “Miss Milah’s Miracle” edition rifles to raise funds for four-year-old Milah Schevenius of Decatur, Indiana. Milah was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms’ tumor at just 3-year-old, a rare occurrence affecting less than 10% of all children’s kidney cancer cases. All proceeds of the fundraising campaign will be presented to the Schevenius family to assist with the associated healthcare costs of Milah’s treatments.

In 2021, Milah underwent surgery to remove the affected kidneys, leaving her with less than half of her right kidney and no left kidney. A follow-up surgery was performed in December 2021, after a legion was found on her remaining partial kidney. Additionally, Milah is going through 42 weeks of chemo with radiation treatments at a children’s hospital in Indiana. She loves to color, play with her dolls, have tea parties, and spend time with her sisters. Milah wants to be a doctor when she grows up so that she can help kids going through what she is experiencing.

“Never judge a book by its cover, because this little girl is tough,” says Ryan Knapp, Milah’s grandfather. He continues, “She has been through more than anyone should in less than 4 years of life but does it with a smile and she does not quit.” Read more

CCRKBA: Ukraine Crisis Underscores Importance of Second Amendment

BELLEVUE, WA – The overnight invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops underscores the importance of the Second Amendment to the defense of freedom in the United States, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

“While we’ve seen reports that the Ukraine Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) has voted to ease restrictions allowing civilians to carry arms outside their homes,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “in our country this has been the constitutional law of the land since our nation was founded. The right of the people to keep and bear arms has protected this country since the beginning, and what is happening right now in Ukraine should be a lesson to all of those who push for citizen disarmament and a ban on private gun ownership how perilous that would be.”

Russian troops crossed the Ukraine border overnight, and world leaders are now scrambling to respond. The action is being universally condemned throughout the western world, but only in the United States is there good cause to appreciate the fact that average private citizens enjoy a constitutional protection to be armed.

“Our Second Amendment was enshrined in the Bill of Rights by men who had just fought a war for independence,” Gottlieb observed. “They returned to their homes from battlefields, not from some deer hunting camp. The right to keep and bear arms has never been about shooting ducks, but about protecting our right as citizens of the greatest nation on earth to defend our homes and families immediately against the kind of international outrage now unfolding in eastern Europe.

“The gun prohibition lobby would have America become vulnerable to such aggression as we are now seeing on television screens from coast to coast,” he continued. “This isn’t some action movie Americans are watching; this is real life, and it vividly illustrates why so many of us fight day and night to protect and defend our Second Amendment rights.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the good citizens of Ukraine,” Gottlieb stated. “We can only hope that gun prohibitionists, or at least their supporters in the establishment media, learn something from this tragedy. To live in peace, one must always be prepared to defend it.” Read more
