NRA Honored with Diamond Cornerstone Award

GW:  When POMA began years ago, it was the NRA that provided funding for the hook and bullet outdoor media.  And, to this day, it has been a strong supporter of our traditional values.  Hats off to J.R. Roberts and his supporting staff.

The Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) inducted the National Rifle Association (NRA) into POMA’s elite group of Diamond Cornerstone honorees. The announcement was made during the NRA dinner at POMA’s annual business conference in Tunica, Miss. Read more

Michigan: Senate Judiciary Committee to Vote on Repeal of Permit to Purchase and Registration

This Wednesday, August 15, the Michigan Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on legislation to repeal Michigan’s “permit-to-purchase” and registration requirements for handguns.  House Bill 5225, which seeks to replace the state handgun “permit-to-purchase” requirement with the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), already passed in the state House of Representatives by an overwhelming 74 to 36 vote (found on page 14 of the House Journal) on June 13.  Read more
