Springfield Armory Cuts Dick’s, Field & Stream

GW:  You’re either for us or against those that are law-abiding citizens and Springfield’s sentiment and subsequent action speaks volumes.

GENESEO, IL, (05/03/18) – Springfield Armory is severing ties with Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, in response to their hiring a group for anti-Second Amendment lobbying.

This latest action follows Dick’s Sporting Goods’ decision to remove and destroy all modern sporting rifles (MSR) from their inventory. In addition, they have denied Second Amendment rights to Americans under the age of 21. We at Springfield Armory believe that all law abiding American citizens of adult age are guaranteed this sacred right under our Constitution.

It is clear where Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, stand on the Second Amendment, and we want to be clear about our message in response. Their position runs counter to what we stand for as a company. At Springfield Armory, we believe in the rights and principles fought for and secured by American patriots and our founding forefathers, without question. We will not accept Dick’s Sporting Goods’ continued attempts to deny Second Amendment freedoms to our fellow Americans.

Leupold Adds Six New Models to Award-Winning VX-Freedom Line

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc., has announced the addition of six new optics to the award-winning VX-Freedom line of riflescopes – including a Scout scope, an EFR model, and a CDS dial compatible model, among others.

This second wave of VX-Freedom riflescopes comes on the heels of the 10 models announced in early 2018. The extended lineup will feature two models ideal for AR/MSR platforms, a 1.5-4×20 with AR-Ballistic reticle, and a 3-9×40 with TMR (Tactical Milling Reticle.) Both feature 0.1 Mil/Click adjustments to match the milliradian increments of the reticles. Also added to the lineup is an Extended Eye Relief 1.5-4×28 Scout scope, and a close focus EFR (Extended Focus Range) 3-9×33 with Fine Duplex reticle, which is ideal for rimfires and airguns. To continue this legacy and commitment to hunters of all kinds, Burris introduces the Oracle laser-rangefinding bow sight, instantly providing compound bow-hunters exact distance to target and exact aiming point while at full draw.

The Oracle was designed for bow hunters who understand the importance of minimal movement and properly ranging targets when mere seconds and feet count. The Oracle eliminates aiming between pins by instantly calculating and displaying the exact aiming point for any distance and shot angle.

The laser activation button mounts to the riser for quick, convenient access.  A quick push of the button activates the built-in IR laser rangefinder. Within seconds, the range to the target is shown along with an illuminated pin for the exact drop and angle-compensated aim point.

The illuminated aiming pins are displayed on the vertical LED trajectory bar running through the entire midsection of the sight. The bar also displays a fixed 20-yard pin for a constant reference point when ranging targets. If the ranging is unsuccessful, the sight will display standard dots in 10-yard increments starting with the 20-yard pin.

The Oracle will learn the trajectory or drop for two different arrow configurations and will accommodate up to 176 inches of drop at 100 yards. Most bow set-ups will be able to achieve 80-110 yards depending on bow speed and arrow weight. Read more
