The new ruling affects all submittals after the implementation of the law, which goes into effect July 13, 2016. No entity ownership benefits have been lost; however, CLEO (Chief Law Enforcement Officer) signature for all NFA purchases within a trust will no longer be required. Instead, only notification to the CLEO will be necessary. Photographs and fingerprints are now required for all individuals on the trust for new purchases once the law goes into effect.
