Information On Changes From 41P To 41F By SUREFIRE®

The new ruling affects all submittals after the implementation of the law, which goes into effect July 13, 2016. No entity ownership benefits have been lost; however, CLEO (Chief Law Enforcement Officer) signature for all NFA purchases within a trust will no longer be required. Instead, only notification to the CLEO will be necessary. Photographs and fingerprints are now required for all individuals on the trust for new purchases once the law goes into effect. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources reminds hunters that the fall turkey hunting application period is now open. Applications went on sale July 1 and will be available through Aug. 1. The application fee is $5. Applications and licenses may be purchased at any authorized license agent or online at www.mdnr-elicense.com.
The 2016 fall turkey season runs Sept. 15 to Nov. 14. A total of 51,350 licenses are available, including 4,650 general licenses and 46,700 private-land licenses.
