GW:  And, today we hear from our tyrant in chief and dang good news, as far as I’m concerned: President Obama on Thursday bellyached about a Supreme Court deadlock (his puppets against Constitutionalists) that effectively killed his landmark illegal executive actions on immigration.

In a statement from the White House, he whined about his sweeping actions as necessary to help “fix” the country’s immigration system in the face of congressional inaction.

 

“The fact the Supreme Court wasn’t able to issue a decision today doesn’t just set the system back even further, it takes us further from the country that we aspire to be,” he said.  Just wondering who the heck are the “we” he references.  Sure isn’t anyone I know.

 

Obama sought to act unilaterally and tyrannically to protect millions of illegal aliens and permanent-resident children from deportation and expand a similar program that applied to young illegal immigrants.

 

However, the U.S. Supreme Court tied 4-4, leaving a lower court ruling stand that blocked the programs from taking effect.  Obama just seems a few puppets short, now doesn’t he?

 

Obama complained that deadlock is “heartbreaking” and “frustrating” for the more than 4 million illegals that he let in and who could have benefitted from the program.

 

And, just how does all this benefit our low-skilled workforce and the common-man taxpayer?  I must have missed that part in his comments.

CCRKBA: Dems No Longer Represent Ideals of A Free Society

BELLEVUE, WA – While Capitol Hill Democrats staged a symbolic “sit-in” today in the House chambers to demand action on new gun restrictions, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said these lawmakers clearly define by their actions how far the party has strayed from the ideals of liberty their predecessors stood for.

“Democrats in the 1960s used sit-ins to expand Constitutional rights,” CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb recalled. “But today, they are using a sit-in to restrict those same civil rights.”

While Democrats professed to be interested in curbing gun-related violence, he said, their true motives are aimed more at eroding not only firearms rights, but the right of due process. Clearly, Gottlieb asserted, the sit-in is a carefully-choreographed attempt to fool the public into believing that it is right to pass legislation to strip someone of their rights without any criminal charge, much less a conviction, by placing them on a secret “watch list” without benefit of due process. But not every predator chaser hunts the wide-open expanses common to western country. In fact, as coyotes and other varmints continue to expand and solidify their presence, predators are increasingly being hunted in heavily forested, brushy terrain where shots are often closer and must be made quickly on incoming or retreating targets. In these situations, a shotgun is the ideal choice.

For those hunters, Varmint X now has an answer in the form of a new shotshell added to the line that boasts Winchester’s proven Shot-Lok Technology. Shot-Lok Technology includes a liquid gel that surrounds the pellets in the shot cup and then hardens. When fired, the shot launches from the barrel nearly perfectly round as the hardened resin fractures and disperses like any shotshell buffer. The result is extremely tight, long-range patterns. When used in other Winchester products such as Long Beard XR® and Rooster XR®, hunters have been able to achieve reliable patterns much farther out than standard shotshell loads of the same gauge and shot size—adding even as much as an additional 20 yards in reliable shot distance.

James Powell elected President of POMA

DU’s Director of Communications will serve two-year term

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) Director of Communications, James Powell, was elected volunteer President of the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) at their annual conference in Montana last week.

“It’s truly an honor to be elected President of such a highly regarded organization,” Powell said. “I’m looking forward to working with other outdoor media leaders to help POMA grow and reach the goals set out in our mission.”

Powell has been DU’s Director of Communications for the past four years, and has served on the POMA board for two years. As President, he will preside over all meetings of the POMA Board of Directors and act as the liaison between the Executive Director and the Board. He is also responsible for member communications, the development of strategic partnerships and oversight of strategic marketing programs.

“We learned at the board meeting last week that POMA’s corporate partnerships have grown by 18 percent, which is a big increase from previous years,” he said. “While corporate partners undoubtedly allow POMA to do even more great things, we’re certainly going to be focused on membership growth as well.” Read more

SureFire Response to Competitor Suppressor Test Video


Fountain Valley, CA — Recently, a suppressor manufacturer released a video showing what they claimed to be a “government agency test,” in which their suppressor outperformed the SureFire SOCOM556-RC suppressor. In response to this so-called “government agency test” video, SureFire would like to make clear to the public that the test in this competitor’s video was not a test conducted by SOCOM or any other government agency. The test was conducted in-house by the manufacturer of the competing suppressor, with a few members of the Military and Government in attendance. Additionally, the exact opposite results were obtained in actual SOCOM testing in which the competitor’s suppressor was evaluated alongside a SureFire SOCOM556-RC. In this test, the competitor’s suppressor failed, whereas the SureFire suppressor completed the test without incident or causing malfunctions of the MK18. Read more

Senior Official of Beverly Hills Auction House Sentenced for Wildlife Trafficking

Joseph Chait, 38, of Beverly Hills, California, the senior auction administrator of I.M. Chait Gallery, located in Beverly Hills, was sentenced today to one year and one day in prison and a $10,000 fine for conspiring to smuggle wildlife products made from rhinoceros horn, elephant ivory and coral with a market value of at least $1 million, announced Assistant Attorney General John C. Cruden for the Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara for the Southern District of New York and Director Dan Ashe for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). On March 9, Chait pleaded guilty to a two-count Information before U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken for the Southern District of New York, who imposed today’s sentence.

“Conspiring in the trafficking endangered wildlife is a serious crime, and those involved in the auction industry should take note that facilitating this trade can result in prison,” said Assistant Attorney General Cruden. “The African Elephant, the rhinoceros, and coral are all deeply threatened species that have undergone dramatic losses in recent decades as the trade in them has become highly lucrative. We must stop this trade, and we will vigorously investigate and prosecute those engaged in it.”

“By illegally trafficking in wildlife, including rhinoceros horns, Joseph Chait and his co-conspirators have fueled the illegal trade in endangered wildlife,” said U.S. Attorney Bharara. “Chait’s conduct, a federal crime for which he will now spend time in prison, threatened the already precarious existence of certain endangered species of animals.” Read more
