Court Challenge on Wolf Delisting Tuesday
The congressional rider removing gray wolves from Endangered Species Act protection faces a court challenge in Missoula on Tuesday.
The Alliance for the Wild Rockies, Center for Biological Diversity, Friends of the Clearwater and WildEarth Guardians together claim Congress violated the U.S. Constitution’s separation of powers doctrine when it ordered the wolf delisted and blocked future court review of that decision.
In response, attorneys for Interior Secretary Ken Salazar say Congress has frequently rewritten laws…

NRA Supports Suit Against DCHA
Current District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) rules forbid law-abiding residents from owning a firearm for any lawful purpose. The National Rifle Association (NRA) is supporting and financing a lawsuit to challenge this policy. The case is Scott v. District of Columbia Housing Authority.
DCHA residents, just like all Americans, have a fundamental, individual right to keep firearms in their homes for self-defense. This right, affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in its landmark Heller and McDonald decisions, is guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Denying anyone a basic right based on their zip code or tax bracket is unacceptable. The NRA will continue our fight to ensure that all law-abiding Americans can fully exercise their constitutional freedoms.
The NRA has successfully challenged a similar ban on firearms in public housing in San Francisco and is currently challenging one in Delaware.

Duty To Inform “Promptly” only works if the “Only Ones” Shut up and listen – AmmoLand.com
Ohio –-(Ammoland.com)- We’ve all wondered what our first armed traffic stop is going to turn into. For me I was driving a 1996 Ford explorer with 4? tall white letters that read: OHIOCCW.ORG across the back of my hatch.
The officer stepped out of his vehicle and approached my car in a rather large arc so that when he could see into my doorway he was easily twenty feet away from my car. Read more
Humane Society Misses the Plate
With the recent release of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s new “Food Plate” to guide Americans with dietary choices, the Humane Society of the US (HSUS) was quick to release its own twisted animal-welfare version. The HSUS’ Humane Healthy Plate version notes that the recommended protein guideline might be confused as “meat,” and then the group takes a direct stab at agriculture with “from the nearly 10 billion animals raised for food in the United States, many of them in crowded, inhumane conditions.”
For the real facts, visit the USDA’s website (www.myplate.gov) and you’ll find numerous types of meat (equals protein) listed as those recommended for consumption on the “choose my plate” program.
Interestingly, HSUS also overlooked the USDA’s recommendation for healthy American diners to eat “venison.” It’s right in there beside bison and rabbits – other abundant and hunted species by sportsmen and sportswomen from coast to coast.
