Modular firearms are nothing new. They’ve been around for well over 100 years. Despite this, SIG successfully developed one of the most modular pistols. So successful that the US Armed Forced uses a variant of these modular pistols as the M17/18. The civilian model of the M17/18 is the SIG P320, a pistol that can be customized for concealed carry, competition, or just plinking at the range. The SCS-320 (Solar Charging Sight) is designed for P320 optics-ready handguns and other DPP footprints. It takes the already well-designed P320 and augments it for optimal performance. The new optic attaches directly to the slide without needing an adapter plate. For perfect reticle illumination, the unit uses multidirectional light sensors in complement with a solar charging system to adjust brightness automatically.
