CVA has added a second version of its new ACCURA MR muzzleloading rifle. Originally the gun was only offered in Realtree Max 1, but at the request of many CVA dealers, a black-stocked version of the gun will be added to the line and be available for early summer delivery. Both of the new ACCURA MRs (MR stands for “Mountain Rifle”), join the ACCURA V2 models in the already very popular premium line of CVA ACCURA series of muzzleloaders — being particularly known for the extreme accuracy of their Bergara® barrels.
According to Dudley McGarity, CEO of Blackpowder Products, Inc., owner of the CVA brand, “The ACCURA MR seemed to really impress our dealers at the very first presentations, and orders were incredibly strong. Their only complaint was that there was only one model available. After hearing this over and over, and listening to their suggestions for the look of a second model, we knew that a black stocked version could also be a home run. For the barrel and frame, we settled on a graphite color WeatherGuard™ finish over the stainless steel – and the resulting, slightly contrasting, black-on-black color combination really looks sharp.”
Both of the ACCURA MR models are shorter and lighter than the ACCURA V2, making them an ideal choice for the weight conscious mountain hunter, brush hunter, or tree stand hunter. All of the features that made the ACCURA V2 famous are also found in the ACCURA MR – Quick Release Breech Plug (QRBP), Trigger Guard Actuated Breeching Action, Bergara Barrel®, Neutral Center of Gravity Trigger,premium SoftTouch stock with rubber grip panels. However, unique to the MR is the WeatherGuard™ barrel finish which is applied over the exterior of the 416 grade stainless steel Bergara barrel. Both ACCURA MRs also come with a matching Quake Claw Sling and the DuraSight Dead-On scope mount – making for quick and easy scope mounting. And lastly, CVA’s new PalmSaver Ramrod will be first introduced on the MR models.
