President Directs Attorney General to Regulate Bump Stocks
President Trump has signed a memorandum directing Attorney General Jeff Sessions to regulate the use of bump stocks. The memo directs the Attorney General to “dedicate all available resources” to completing a review of more than 100,000 comments received from December through January on a notice of proposed rule making. A Justice Department spokesperson says the department “understands this is a priority for the president and has acted quickly to move through the rule-making process.”
