Youth pheasant hunters
Andrew Block Memorial Youth Pheasant Hunt
Saturday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Gordon Guyer-Augusta Creek State Wildlife Area
Kalamazoo County
Hunter safety-certified youth hunters, ages 12-17, are invited to register for this pheasant hunt. Hunters must bring their base license, firearm and ammunition, hunter orange garments, eye and ear protection, and a cooler for their harvested birds.
Groups of two will hunt with mentors and a dog and dog handler. Pheasants will be planted for each group to hunt.
There are still limited spots available for this hunt this Saturday. Register now to reserve a spot for your youth hunter. Lunch will be provided to participants, and there will be a grand-prize drawing for a shotgun.
Spectators are welcome to attend at no cost. There will be something for everyone in the family, with corn hole, a BB gun trailer, trap shooting, hunting dog demonstrations and lots of food for all.
