RIVERTON, Utah – In 2023, ZEV Technologies and WRMFZY dropped the OZ DOOM, a custom OZ9 that brought streetwear attitude to a pistol built to win. Now they’re back with the sequel. The OZ DOOM XL stretches the formula to a long slide, loads the grip with tungsten and keeps the look that made the first one impossible to ignore.
Life’s too short to compete with ugly guns. The XL is built for shooters who care how flat the dot tracks and who want that performance in a pistol that stands out. It starts on ZEV’s OZ9 long-slide platform in 9mm, then goes heavy where it counts. The co-branded, launch-exclusive Gen 2 7075 aluminum grip is anodized in FDE and carries an integrated magwell, aggressive checkering and two top-loading tungsten weights that pin the muzzle down through recoil. A WRMFZY-branded DLC slide, cut for RMR or DPP optics, rides a DLC-coated frame and barrel. ZEV’s Fulcrum Adjustable trigger lets you dial pre-travel and over-travel to your own finger, and every spring in the slide is set up for this exact configuration. So it runs out of the box.
If you already know WRMFZY, you know the Gypsy. If you don’t, here’s the short version. WRMFZY took streetwear’s drop culture and brought it to the gun world with limited runs of apparel, patches and gear, plus collaborations with some of the coolest brands in the shooting world.
