You Must Act Now to Stop the EPA from Regulating Your Ammunition

This from the NRA…  “The bill would amend the law to clarify that the EPA does not have the authority to regulate shot, bullets or sport fishing equipment.“

Just over two weeks ago, the U.S. Senate voted 84-12 to advance S. 3525, “The Sportsmen’s Act of 2012.”  However, this week, by a 50-41 vote, the bill suffered a setback when the Senate failed to clear a procedural hurdle and move on to finish work on the bill.  There is still time to get this critically important legislation passed, but you must act now! S. 3525 is an essential piece of legislation focused on the expansion and enhancement of hunting, recreational fishing and shooting on federal public land.  But it’s more than that.  Read more

A look inside the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) – the largest and most well-financed anti-hunting group in the world.  For example, grants made by HSUS for the purpose of aiding pet sheltering appear to make up about only 0.25% (one-quarter of one percent) of HSUS’s budget. HSUS Threatens Lawsuit to Overturn Western Great Lakes Wolf Delisting

(Columubs, OH) – On Monday, October 15th, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and its Fund for Animals filed a 60-day notice of intent to sue the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service over the removal of the Western Great Lakes region wolves from the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA).  A 60-day notice of intent to sue is a required procedural step before filing a lawsuit against the Service under the Endangered Species Act.
