On March 25th, 2023, one of Athlon Optics original PRS Pro Team members, turned ELR shooter—Jaclyn Bryan—made a record-setting 4,227 yard shot during a competition. Accompanied by her husband and spotter—Shane Bryan— the duo worked together and claimed the record for second longest confirmed shot in competition history.

On March 25th, 2023, one of Athlon Optics original PRS Pro Team members, turned ELR shooter—Jaclyn Bryan—made a record-setting 4,227 yard shot during a competition. Accompanied by her husband and spotter—Shane Bryan— the duo worked together and claimed the record for second longest confirmed shot in competition history. Jaclyn successfully impacted the 72” target using a mix of skill, a high-end rifle build, and the high-quality, UHD riflescope: Athlon’s Cronus BTR.

Athlon spoke with Jaclyn and Shane to find out more about what it takes to be successful in Extreme Long Range competitions—and unpacked what took place the day she set the second place world record at Spearpoint Ranch in Barnard, Kansas.
