Phoenix, AZ– Velocity Triggers™ has launched its brand with an American made, drop-in trigger assembly that will fit all AR platforms. The initial product offering includes single stage trigger assemblies with either a traditional curved trigger or a tactical straight trigger, both of which are available in 3, 4, or 4 ½ pound pull weight. All of the major parts of the trigger assembly go through extensive processes to insure a great final product.

The hammer, trigger and disconnect are cut from tool steel with a Wire EDM process, followed by heat treating for extended life. Then the hammer and disconnect are treated with Robar’s™ NP3® metal finish. NP3® is an electroless nickel based finish that is very corrosion resistant and reduces friction. The housings are machined from 6061T6 billet aluminum and then green anodized for easy cleaning and reduced corrosion. Each trigger goes through a black oxide process and then is hand polished for a smooth finish. The trigger assemblies are then built and individually tested for pull weight and sear engagement. CAMP PERRY, Ohio –The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is thrilled to once again welcome eager competitors to the Rifle Phase of the National Trophy Matches, held July 15-28, 2015, at the world-famous Camp Perry National Guard training facility. The matches have been fired on the base since 1907 and continue to draw thousands of athletes and spectators each year. The event offers air gun, vintage military rifle and modern military rifle opportunities to enthusiasts of all ages.

The National Match Air Gun events will be fired July 5-20 in the 80-firing point Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center. Browning’s original inventions — the Model 1911 handgun and the 380 ACP cartridge. Scaled down to 85% of the size of the original 45 ACP versions, the new single-action Browning 1911-380 is made in the USA and utilizes a precision built composite frame. The new Black Label 1911-380 comes in a matte black finish with fixed combat sights.

The overall length is 7 ½” and average weight is 17 ½ oz. Slightly larger than most 380 ACP pistols, the size manages recoil better and improves control for more accurate follow up shots. The grip is narrow, but long and wide enough for comfortable shooting. Barrel length is 4 ¼”, which increases bullet velocity for more downrange punch and improved accuracy for sport shooting.
