National Education Association Vice President: NRA, Second Amendment Supporters “Are Going to Hell”

On the previous post, it’s no wonder why some teachers get bent out of shape when a youngster expresses any type of support for gun rights when their leaders think this way…

Speaking to all 3,000 of the assembled “progressive activists” at this year’s Netroots Nation conference, National Education Association vice president Lily Eskelsen Garcia boldly declared a “prophecy” about the eternal destiny of NRA and Second Amendment supporters, and of politicians and lobbyists working to promote gun rights:  “I’m not an ordained minister; I’m not a theologian, but these guys are going to hell.”

CalGuns Asks for Help to Combat Brady Campaign

Unsurprisingly, the Brady Campaign is strongly backing two very extreme anti-rights bills, SB 53(Senator Kevin de León’s Orwellian ammunition purchase and sales restrictions) and SB 755 (Senator Lois Wolk’s outrageous expansion of those categorized as “prohibited persons” who can’t possess or acquire guns or ammunition). They’re asking their supporters to call, write, and fax the Legislature — running a drill on our rights — but we can make sure to give the Legislature something else to consider by sending letters using FPC’s built-in Take Action tools, sending faxes, and keeping the phones ringing off the hook Monday and Tuesday. DU celebrates first sale of 2013-2014 federal duck stamps

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The new 2013-2014 federal duck stamp goes on sale this Friday, June 28. The stamps, which cost $15, are valid through June 30, 2014. Purchased by millions of waterfowl hunters, wildlife enthusiasts and collectors every year, duck stamps help raise money to purchase and protect wetlands for ducks, geese and other wildlife species.
