Where’s the Beef? In the Back Seat!
New Mexico authorities have arrested three men found with a 220-pound calf in the back seat of their car. The Carlsbad Current Argus reports that the men were charged with cattle rustling and were jailed on charges of suspicion of larceny of livestock, conspiracy, lack of a bill of sale and exporting livestock. Because the price of rhino horn has increased dramatically over the past few decades, statistics show poachers killed nearly 450 rhinos last year. Another Contest, Another Cheater
On Feb. 1, eight charges were filed against David V Kent by Osage County Attorney Brandon Jones in the District Court of Osage County, Fourth Judicial District, including criminal discharge of a firearm, criminal hunting, illegally hunting with an artificial light, hunting outside of legal hours, illegal hunting during a closed season, using an illegal caliber for taking big game, illegal hunting from a vehicle, and hunting without a valid deer permit.
